CAMPAIGN

THE STORY THUS FAR...

The Lakely Clan are a friendly family of Settlers who are leaving their smalltown home in the Hayseed Hills and striking out for the wild frontier of Valgamma's Ruin, setting down new roots in the rambunctious town of Omen. The Lakely's are good and decent people, if not a tad bit naive and vulnerable. Having recently sold their homestead to fund the move, the family will certainly come across dangers along the way!

PLAYER CHARACTERS

Players should have some manner of interest in having the Lakely family make the long trip to Omen. You could play a hired bodyguard, friend of the family, or even a member of the family yourself. Whatever your character's motives, they should be allies of the family in some way.

.AMOS LAKELY. 

Patriarch of the Lakely Brood 

Always ready with a friendly smile and a devoted work-ethic, Amos Lakely has always lived a simple life. Always a vivid dreamer and optimist, Papa Lakely has recently sold the family homestead in hopes of starting a brand new life for his family in the boomtown of Omen. The Patriarch of the family is easy-going and kind, with a soft heart and a habit of breaking out in joyous fits of fiddle-playing. 

.WANDA JEAN LAKELY. 
Doting Mother Hen 
Loyal to a fault, Mrs. Lakely is as supportive and caring as they come. While having reservations about moving from the homestead she knows so well, the Lakely Matriarch trusts that her Husband knows what's best for the family. Mrs. Lakely is conservative and frugal, often finding herself curbing the reckless spending of her far less purse-shy Husband. 

.ROZZALYN LAKELY. 
Frantic Youngster 
Rumors say that the youngest Lakely has never known a full night's sleep in all of her 9 years, and the hyper-active youth is always tense and alert, no matter the situation. Her overactive imagination is a constant source of...colorful activity in the Lakely home, and her cadre of strange, invisible friends is currently in the double digits.

.WALLACE "WALLY" LAKELY. 
Wayward Son 
The 15-year-old eldest child of the Lakely Clan is adventurous and bold, possessing all the rashness of youth. Obsessed with the outlaw lifestyle, young Wallace has recently started hanging around a local gang of bullies and thugs in his home town, much to the consternation of his worried parents. Desperate to try and pull their youngest son away from bad influences, they are moving far away in the hopes that young Wally won't be tarnished by poor company. Like most boys his age, Wally is a massive fan of Dime Novels, with his favorite fictional character being the wildly popular "Spider Manley." 

.GRAMPA LAKELY. 

Demented Old Codger 

The old man's age is matched only by his talents at spinning tall tales (which he does frequently), and he is never seen without his trusty double barrel shotgun, which he claims to have taken the lives of no less than 64 men. Having taken up smoking at the tender age of 7, Grampa Lakely enjoys few things more than rocking in his chair and enjoying a few puffs of his ever-burning pipe. 

.HORUS THE DOG. 

Bloodhound Extraordinaire 

Droopy in appearance as well as personality, the Lakely's faithful hound takes his time doing just about everything, and often doubles as a droopy throw rug splayed gracelessly on the living room floor. While undoubtedly the laziest member of the household, Horus excels at tracking things with his world class schnoz, but will do so only in his own sweet time.
